EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
We are currently looking for an experienced 2 Cabinetmaker’s Helper to join our team! The successful candidate will be working alongside our manufacturing and installation teams in ensuring that we provide our clients with top-notch quality products they can brag about! We are looking for someone who considers themselves as artists, and not just furniture assemblers.
Your duties will include but will not be limited to:
o Load and unload materials, and move materials to warehouse and work sites;
o Clean work site and move existing furniture/cabinet and other fixture prior to commencement of work;
o Assist cabinetmakers in cutting, assembling, and joining cabinets, doors, tables, countertops, etc.;
o Assist in fitting and installing woodwork as instructed by Project Lead;
o Perform work on client site which includes joining prefabricated fixtures and other repairs under the supervision of Project Lead;
o May perform basic restoration or maintenance;
o Conduct post-construction/renovation clean-up and dispose off debris and other materials;
o Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed;
o Work under direct supervision of Cabinetmaker/Contractor or Project Lead.
What we need:
• No previous experience needed – we will provide training
• Must be able to work under pressure and on different projects at a time
• Must be able to lift weight of up to 9 kgs, if needed
• Good understanding of environmental-friendly wood and millwork materials
• Must be able to work in tight spaces
• Good English language skills (written and oral)
• Familiarity with workplace safety, safe lifting, and handling procedures
• No education requirement
What we are offering:
• $22.00 per hour for 35 hours per week
• Overtime and weekend schedules may be required
• Overtime rate of $33.00 will apply after 44 hours/week
• Full time, permanent position
Location of Work: 530 Keele Street, Unit 409-410, Toronto, ON M6N 3C9.
You will be required to travel within GTA and Ontario to our showrooms and customers’ sites for measurement and cost estimation, as required.
