Duration/Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: 10041 McLaughlin Rd, Brampton, ON L7A 2X5
Salary: $20.00-$21.00 per hour; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 35.0-44.0 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Assisting the manager with hiring, recruiting, oversee training, and terminating employees.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and conduct and record regular performance reviews.
  • Assists the Restaurant Manager in building the restaurants’ “bench strength” by identifying and developing high potential employees for progression to the next level.
  • Communicate with all shifts on day-to-day operations and critical areas of focus.
  • Assist with establishing and enforcing proper security procedures to reduce team member theft and ensure team member and guest safety.
  • Responsible for daily cash procedures and assist with financial reporting.
  • Display knowledge of and works in compliance with applicable legislation including, food safety, health and safety, and employment standards.
  • Enforce and comply with pre-established Tim Hortons operating procedures.
  • Ensure high standards of guest experience are maintained.
  • Resolve guest complaints and turn potentially negative situations into positive ones.
  • Assist Manager in running company-wide incentive programs.
  • Manage team member scheduling to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
  • Work in compliance with the occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Respond to and correct unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Enforce employee compliance in regard to the restaurant’s health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Initiate performance counseling and takes disciplinary actions for non-compliance in matters related to health and safety.

Specific Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience is required.
  • Completion of secondary school is required. College level diploma related to hospitality or business management is desired.
  • Requires excellent communication skills in English Language with an ability to deal with all levels of employees and customers.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.
