We specialize in the manufacture, packaging and distribution of fine food and beverage products found in major grocery chains, as well as independent gourmet grocers, and some of the top restaurants and food service companies.

Chefs (2 positions)
The ideal candidates would be hard-working and willing to learn the company’s recipes as you go.
Job Duties:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities as per the company’s recipes for ranges of products;
- Oversee the kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and other kitchen workers, ensuring adherence to quality standards and sanitation regulations.
- Create innovative and visually appealing recipes that showcase the highest quality ingredients;
- Develop and execute menu offerings, taking into account customer preferences, and dietary restrictions;
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to support daily kitchen operations;
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement;
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of food items;
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement cost-effective strategies to optimize kitchen operations and maximize profitability.
- Stay informed about culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, incorporating new ideas into menu development and kitchen practices.
Requirements:
- High-school diploma – Completion of college, preferably in culinary management would be a great asset!
- At least 2 years of experience as Chef, Sous-Chef or in a similar culinary role preparing authentic Kosher, Halal food items, and/or Mediterranean cuisines – professional portfolio and quick demo may be requested;
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation;
- Attention to detail and a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness;
- Ability to communicate in English and oversee kitchen operations;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Compensation:
- This is a full-time, permanent position with at least 40 hours of work per week;
- Hourly rate of $20.00 overtime rate applies after 44 hours of work per week:
