WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are currently looking for 5 talented Window Installers for a full-time position. The successful candidates will be working closely with our dedicated staff and experts to ensure we give our clients the best possible services in the market.
As Window Installer, you would be performing the following on a regular basis:
- Read work order specifications and measure window area square foot to determine layout and installation procedures
- Clean and prepare work area for installation by marking targeted surfaces
- Prepare materials for the installations
- Install, repair and service interior prefabricated windows using hand and power tools
- Dispose of existing windows and boards
- Conduct necessary tests after installation for quality assurance purposes
- May return furniture and appliances, if necessary
- Conduct post-installation clean up after job completion and ensure all invoices are signed by customer
QUALIFICATIONS:
- On-the-job training would be provided but we need someone who is willing to learn about environmental-friendly installation materials (caulking, sealant, and adhesive materials)
- At least 7 months of experience in installing different types of windows (bay, bow, casement, etc.) is preferred
- Experience working with innovative interactive glass products (Seloy Live, film coating, installation, etc.) is a great asset!
- Experience working in tight spaces and ability to explain condensation issues with clients and how to prevent them are great assets to have!
- Ability to work with heavy materials (lifting will be required depending on projects)
- Good English language skills (written and oral)
- Familiarity with workplace safety, safe lifting and handling procedures
- Some secondary school is an asset but not required
COMPENSATION AND CONDITIONS:
- Permanent, full-time position
- $23.00 per hour, 40 hours work week
- Occasional overtime may be required with applicable overtime pay after 40 hours of work per week
- Location of work: Client sites across Winnipeg and neighbouring areas;
