Position Description: Systems Architect

The Product Team is seeking a Systems Architect to provide hands-on, technical leadership for development of new markets and use cases. As the Systems Architect for the Product Team, you have responsibility to provide technical leadership and direction, project management and resource management. Working with the head of product, you drive innovation and help expand Nymi’s deployment in new verticals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the end-to-end architecture for new use cases and verticals using the Nymi’s product and technologies.
• Drive prioritization, architecture, design, and implementation of prototypes to address new use cases and markets.
• Design, code and test product prototypes
• Manage Beta Programs for testing use cases and technology with partners and customers.
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Sales as a technical advisor for exploring new use cases and markets.
• Identify opportunities for improving or modifying Nymi’s product to address new markets and use cases.
• Provide consultation services to prospective customers and partners for the use of CWP.
• Support the customer and partner facing business development function.
• Participate in discussion that determine the overall technical direction the Nymi product architecture.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for integration of CWP with external systems.
• Work with Nymi product and field teams to identify and prioritize customer needs for new use cases and markets.
• Provide work instructions and manage offshore or third-party teams that may be involved in producing prototypes.

Skills & Experience

Must have:

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• 10+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Solution Architect or similar role.
• 5+ years of Consulting or Services related experience.
• Extremely strong technical problem-solving skills.
• 5+ years of experience with Windows Server/Active Directory, Firmware development, and Cloud deployments.
• Ability to code in multiple languages (.Net, C, C++, Rust, Java)
• 3+ years of experience with wearable security and/or smart card technology.
• Deep understanding of identity, authentication and SSO technologies.
• Expert level understanding of enterprise architecture design, enterprise integration, and IT operations
• Expert level understanding of cloud architecture, clustering, and platforms like Azure and AWS
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Familiar with CI/CD and DevOPs tools like Jenkins, Terraform
• Familiar with IT Security, IT Architecture or Operational Technology (manufacturing) experience

Good to have:

• Experience with regulated industries like Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, including understanding an of GAMP5
• Security certifications (e.g., CISSP/CEH)
• Knowledge of smart card authentication systems (logical, physical, or both)
• Familiar with SAML 2, OpenID, FIDO2
