Floor covering installer needed for Sands Carpet One Ltd.
1 Vacancy Location: 8316 Manning Avenue, Fort McMurray, AB T9H 1W1 Canada
Duties and Responsibilities: As per NOC 73113 Floor covering installers: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered; Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding; Prepare flooring plans and scheduling; Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors; Prepare tenders and quotations; Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings; Prepare and install hardwood floors; Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings; Estimate costs and materials; Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications; Prepare floors for installations; Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants; Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting.
Salary: $25.00 / hour for 30-40 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time Start Date: As soon as possible
Employment conditions: Day, Morning, Overtime
Requirements / Skills: Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Hand-eye co-ordination
Work setting: Commercial, Residential, Various locations in Alberta
