Kitchen Helper

Job Description

Fishy’s Original Jerk is one of Ottawa’s favorite Caribbean food restaurants, located on St. Joseph Boulevard. The owner has satisfied customers with authentic Caribbean cuisines for over a decade and has recently expanded services based on customer demands. We are looking for a permanent full-time kitchen helper to assist with cleaning, washing dishes, taking orders, preparing, and packaging orders.

Job Duties

• Clean and Sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
• Place dishes in storage areas
• Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
• Scour pots and pans
• Package take-out food
• Portion and wrap foods
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables

Job Requirements

• Must speak and read in English
• High School Completion
• At least 7 months of experience
• References attesting your ability to work
