As the next PowerHub Front-End Developer, you will:

• Develop new user-facing features using React.js;
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use;
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code;
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers;
• Develop and maintain code standards;
• Troubleshoot and debug complex web applications;
• Coordinate with back-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic;
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders;
• Work closely with design and product teams to understand user requirements and create solutions that meet those requirements.

Required Skills

• Completion of a college program in computer science or related field;
• At least 2.5 years developing frontend applications using a modern framework (React, Angular or Vue) and technical leadership experience;
• Strong understanding of modern frontend build systems (webpack, babel, etc);
• Have an understanding of responsive design;
• Strong knowledge and experience of frontend testing framework;
• Previous renewable energy knowledge and experience;
• Experience in architecting, building, launching and maintaining frontend system for Saas applications;
• Eager to learn and teach new technologies;
• Strong English language skills;

Nice to have

• Experience with the following technologies: Node.js, GraphQL, MongoDB
• Experience with Web GL, Canvas
• Experience with mobile web application development

• The remuneration will be set at CAD $85,696.00 per annum;
