True North BJJ Academy was founded by black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Giacomo Zanini and his wife Rafaela Bandeira in 2012.

Giacomo Zanini has gathered in these programs all his knowledge, experience and passion for martial arts that can be felt in every class through him and his instructors. Our ultimate mission is to have a positive impact on people lives thus improving our community.

Whether you are learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to compete, get fit, or learn self-defence, our goal is to provide you with a safe and friendly environment to develop your BJJ skills. Our school offers a variety of Gi and No Gi classes, 6 days of the week, for beginner and advanced-level students of all ages and physical abilities.

Job duties:

  • Demonstrate and Instruct: Lead classes by demonstrating and teaching Jiu Jitsu techniques to students of all ages and skill levels.
  • Plan and Execute Training Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive training plans that cater to the needs of both beginners and advanced practitioners.
  • Event Coordination: Assist with the organization and execution of academy events, such as tournaments, seminars, and workshops.
  • Lead and Motivate: Inspire and motivate students to achieve their personal best while fostering a positive and respectful training atmosphere.
  • Supervise Support Staff: Oversee assistant instructors and support staff to ensure smooth operation of classes and events.
  • Individual and Group Instruction: Provide personalized instruction to individuals and lead group training sessions effectively.
  • Performance Assessment: Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Ensure the training environment is safe and clean. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest Jiu Jitsu techniques and training methods to continually enhance the quality of instruction.

 Skills:

  • $22.00 hour (class)

Schedule:

  • 40 hour per week
  • Monday – Friday 3PM-10PM. Sunday 11AM-4PM

  • This is full-time.
  • Permanent position.
