Job Description:

As an Automotive Maintenance Equipment Servicer at Autohaus Rims and Tires, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our shop equipment functions smoothly and efficiently. This role requires not only a sharp eye for detail but also the technical skills to inspect, maintain, and repair automotive equipment, ensuring it remains in optimal working condition. You will also engage directly with customers to keep them informed about the services performed and recommend future maintenance when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on shop equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
• Diagnose equipment issues and mechanical failures using precision measuring tools and diagnostic techniques.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble defective mechanical or hydraulic components using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Test, adjust, and calibrate serviced equipment to meet performance standards before returning to operational use.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance, inspections, and repairs performed on all shop equipment and machinery.
• Respond promptly to service requests from technicians or management, minimizing equipment downtime and maintaining workflow efficiency.
• Ensure all tools and work areas are maintained in clean, safe condition, complying with workplace safety and health regulations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive technology or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience working with automotive service equipment and components is preferred; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
• Proficiency in identifying and repairing mechanical faults using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to perform thorough inspections, maintain accurate records, and make informed recommendations to customers regarding ongoing maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance.
• Good English communication skills, with the ability to explain repair processes and future service needs to customers.
• Physical capability to handle tasks involving lifting, standing, and manual work for extended periods.
