Job Opportunity:
QuikHire is seeking a results-driven and experienced Human Resources Consultant lead and enhance the company’s HR functions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening internal policies, ensuring legal compliance, and implementing people-first strategies that support both our internal staff and external contract workforce. This is a strategic, professional-level position suited for individuals with proven expertise in human resources planning, compliance, and organizational development.
Job Duties:
- Research, evaluate, and implement human resources policies, practices, and procedures that comply with federal and provincial legislation and reflect current industry standards
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on human resources planning, employment law compliance, payroll structure, employee benefits, taxation, and contract obligations
- Develop and oversee the recruitment and selection process, including preparing job postings, conducting candidate screening and interviews, and managing onboarding procedures
- Interpret and apply labour legislation and internal policies to resolve employee relations issues and workplace grievances through mediation and conflict resolution techniques
- Create and update job descriptions, organizational charts, performance evaluation frameworks, and salary classifications in alignment with organizational goals
- Monitor changes in employment-related legislation and ensure internal policies and procedures are revised accordingly to maintain compliance
- Design and implement employee training and development programs, including licensing and certification support as required for various positions
- Lead initiatives related to employee engagement, workplace satisfaction, and retention strategies, including feedback collection and policy enhancements
- Maintain and analyze confidential employee data and records using Human Capital Management (HCM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to support data-driven HR decisions
Required Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time, progressive experience in Human Resources, including experience advising management and interpreting employment law;
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in HR or compliance, with a focus on employment documentation and labour regulations—preferably within a professional services or client-focused environment.
- Experience using Human Capital Management systems or CRM tools to manage employee data
- Strong written and oral English communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of customers in a clear, concise and effective manner
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Compensation:
- This is a full-time, permanent position with at least 30 hours of work per week;
- The remuneration will be set at CAD $60,000.00 per annum; overtime rate applies after 44 hours of work per week;
- Location of Work: 7111 Syntex Drive, Unit 318, Mississauga ON L5N 8C3
