JOB OPPORTUNITY – MACHINISTS (5 POSITIONS AVAILABLE)

Job Duties:

• Set up and operate conventional and computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools to cut, turn, mill, bore, grind, or otherwise shape metal and other materials to precise specifications;
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, charts, and work instructions to determine machining operations, tooling, machine settings, and material requirements;
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances and verify measurements of finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges;
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and minimize downtime;
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and replace or repair worn tools and parts to ensure optimal performance and safety;
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, complying with all health and safety regulations and company standards;
• Make necessary modifications to programs or machine settings to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and meet production goals;
• Collaborate with the Senior Machinist and production team to continually improve processes and ensure adherence to quality control standards.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school;
• No prior work experience required – on-the-job training and mentorship will be provided by a qualified Senior Machinist to develop technical skills, safety practices, and familiarity with machining tools;
• Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude, ability to follow technical instructions, and interest in working in a manufacturing or machining environment;
• Basic English language skills – able to understand and follow instructions, communicate with team members, and adhere to workplace safety guidelines;
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and safely operate machinery in a shop environment.
