Pharmacy Aide

Job Details:

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Salary:  $24 / hour 

Vacancy: 1 

Employment type: Permanent/ Full time 30-40 hours per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Schedule: Day, early morning, evening, weekend, overtime

Job Requirements: 

Language: English

Education:  College Diploma

Relevant Education: 

-Pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences and administration

-Health information

-Other health or pharmacy related certificate or diploma

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Setting: Pharmacy or drugstore

Work Condition : work under pressure, repetitive tasks, attention to detail

Personal Suitability: Accurate, Client focus, Efficient Interpersonal skills , ability to multitask

Job Duties  and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate
• Enter client information in databases
• Help pharmacists
• Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products
• Maintain prescription records
• Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products
• Bill third party insurers
• Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams
• Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation
