Salary: $64,371.84 per annum; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.
Other Benefits: Optional group insurance benefits including medical, dental & eyecare coverage on cost sharing basis
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 40 Hours a week

Position Overview:

  • The Restaurant Manager at a Wendy’s restaurant is responsible for the overall operation of the restaurant, including customer service, staff management, financial performance, and adherence to company standards and policies. The manager is expected to lead by example, create a positive work environment, and ensure that the restaurant consistently delivers a superior dining experience to customers.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team, including shift supervisors, counter staff, kitchen staff, and maintenance personnel.
  • Hold regular staff meetings, provide feedback, and support employee development.
  • Ensure customers receive friendly and efficient service, addressing any issues quickly.
  • Keep the restaurant clean and organized to maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Resolve customer complaints to their satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily operations, including food preparation, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and employee scheduling.
  • Monitor and uphold quality control standards for food and beverages.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on sales, inventory, staffing, and other metrics.
  • Conduct performance reviews, take disciplinary actions when necessary, and motivate and train staff.
  • Implement corporate and local marketing plans effectively and on time.

Specific Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the customer service sector, including supervisory experience is required.
  • Completion of secondary school is required. College level diploma related to hospitality or business management is desired.
  • Requires moderate communication skills in English Language with an ability to deal with all levels of employees and customers.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.
