East to West is looking to hire a Steel Stud Framer to join our growing team for our upcoming projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints or other specifications to perform layout activities and determine methods of installation, work procedures, or material or tool requirements.
• Frame exterior structural stud walls with window/door openings and install dens glass sheathing on the exterior face of framing.
• Frame interior light-gauge studs walls including doors, headers, and other openings so that gypsum board can be installed.
• Can perform Exterior and Interior layout
• Frame dropped/T-Bar ceilings and bulkheads for services as per plans and shop drawings.
• Daily clean up of the job site after framing.

Requirements:

• 7 months – 2 years experience
• Reliable transportation
• Be able to kneel, bend, stand, stoop and stretch for long periods of time.
• Work at heights
• Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment
• Own tools and light Equipment
• Be able to work on stilts
• Be able to take leadership with coworkers in responsibilities

Assets:

• Related training for boom, scissor, forklift
• Safety Training (i.e. fall protection, WHMIS, First Aid, etc.)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Work Location of work: In person

• Salary/wage: $30/hr
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Business Address: 138-16488 64th Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3S 6X6. Primary location is the head office, however location of services depends on client business location.
• Language: English
• Education: Carpentry will be an asset, but a combination of education and work experience is also valid.
