Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Food Tester Supervisor to oversee our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our food products through rigorous testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Education:College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year

Experience:7 months to less than 1 year

Work setting:Bakery

Responsibilities/Tasks:

Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
Prepare production and other reports
Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers
Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units
Identify, evaluate, control and prevent hazards at all stages of the food production process
Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
– Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in food testing methodologies.
– Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and quality control measures.
– Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
– Monitor and evaluate testing results to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
– Collaborate with teams, production, and quality assurance, to address any issues related to product quality and safety.

Supervision:5-10 people

Area of work experience: Quality assurance or control

Required languages: English

Education level: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
