Overview: We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee and manage our warehouse operations and support staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to ensuring efficient and safe warehouse operations.

Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to warehouse support staff, including hiring, training, and supervising team members to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, storing, and tracking inventory items to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement efficient warehouse procedures and workflows to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data and product handling.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all warehouse staff.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Communication: Liaise with other departments, such as logistics, purchasing, and customer service, to coordinate warehouse activities and address any issues or concerns.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the warehouse budget, including forecasting and controlling expenses.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a post-secondary education program (Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, preferred but not required);
  • At least 1 year of proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar role;
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team;
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes;
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software applications (asset but not required);
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Forklift certification (preferred but not required).

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate of $24.50 for at least 40 hours per week;
  • Overtime rate after 44 hours per week;
