Job Description

We strive to maintain a high standard in our service to our customers and our surrounding community. We are looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who is knowledgeable in utilizing strategic methods to attract and retain good staff. The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for help to secure and retain staff for all divisions under the Wingell Hospitality Group.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or any other related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in human resources in the hospitality field
  • Strong English communication (written and oral)
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is preferred

Role of the Position

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of human resources
  • Plan human resource requirements in conjunction with other departmental managers
  • Co-ordinate internal and external training and recruitment activities
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local regulations and the Pay Equity Act
  • Direct and organize quality management training programs
  • Organize and conduct employee information meetings on employment policy, benefits, WSIB and health and safety
  • Assist the Accountant with employee payroll and process vacation and sick leave
