Automotive Service Technician

Position:          Automotive Service Technician

Employer:       1^st Professional Auto ltd. O/A Budget Brake and Muffler – Port Moody

Location:         2-2561 Barnet Highway, Coquitlam, BC, V3G 1W4.

Start date:        As soon as possible

Requirements:

1. At least 3 years of related work experience
2. Must be reliable
3. Must be a team plater
4. Must be available on Saturdays
5. Relevant Post-Secondary Education (at any level – college/university)
6. Hold a valid driver’s license (G2 or G)

Pay and Benefits

1. Up to $30.00 per hour, depending on work experience
2. Compensation package available that includes medical and dental insurance

Job Duties

1. Inspect motors in operation and road test vehicles
2. Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks which could include oil change, tire rotation, battery installations, headlight and taillight installations, transmission work, front-end alignments.
3. Identify and resolve issues with steering, braking, suspension, ignition, electrical, engines, cooling, HVAC and more.
4. Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
5. Lift maintenance
6. Clean vehicles
7. Ensure equipment longevity
8. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturers specifications
