Residential construction painter needed for LTR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS LTD.

1 Vacancy       Location: 14745 46 Ave NW Edmonton, AB T6H 5M6

Duties and Responsibilities: As per NOC 7294 – Painters and decorators (except interior decorators); Residential construction painter; Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted, Repair cracks and holes, Mix paint to desired colour and texture, Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings, Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging, Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces

Salary: $25.00 / hour for 35-44 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time    Start Date: As soon as possible

Employment conditions: Early morning, Morning, Evening, Weekend

Requirements / Skills:                   Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Physically demanding, Ability to distinguish between colours, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Location Information: Various locations in Alberta

Personal Suitability: Reliability, Client focus, Flexibility, Team player, Effective interpersonal skills

Coating/Application Specialization: Aggregate painting, Multi-color finishes, Paint spraying

Wall Covering Specialization: Wallpaper, Vinyl, Wood veneers

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Airless spray equipment, Roller painting, Brush painting, Conventional spray painting

Surface Preparation Experience: Drywall taping/patching

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Wood Finishing Specializations: Graining, Staining, Glazing
