Steven Karr established Pride Pak Canada Ltd. (“Pride Pak”) in 1984 to service what he saw as a need to meet Canada’s growing trend for high quality, healthy, easy to use fresh food. We now proudly operate as Canada’s largest fresh fruit and vegetable processor from a state-of-the-art facility in Mississauga. In 2006 we opened our second facility Pride Pak Nfld. Ltd, which processes fresh fruit and vegetables for the Province of Newfoundland.

Please note that our Production areas are refrigerated to 5°C (40°F), and employees are required to dress accordingly. Contracts and Supply Coordinator (2 positions)

The ideal candidates will have years of experience in administrative procedures and contracts and supply coordination as well as some experience in competitive market buying in the food processing/manufacturing industry. You would be required to work with different team members in ensuring our supply chain procedures are handled accordingly.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee and co-ordinate administrative procedures and implement new procedures, including all related business enquiries, maintaining customer database, and quality management
  • Coordinate buying procedures and requirements with management and vendors including quality and type of supplies and raw materials to buy
  • Implement daily and weekly priorities and ensure appropriate delegation of work and meeting of deadlines
  • Advise management on-site on matters requiring attention and administer procedures aimed at implementing effective policies, including those that are already implemented
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work of other support staff, including those handling admin duties of other departments
  • Ensure maintenance of databases and records of suppliers and customers, customers and key contact persons of the business
  • Maintain healthy working relationship with all stakeholders
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding pricing, delivery dates and cancellations, invoices, and any other issues associated with the purchases and deliveries
  • May offer supplier and customer support and may be responsible to maintain contact with suppliers inside and outside of Canada, if necessary

Requirements:

  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in administrative and business services
  • Excellent experience in contracts and supply coordination as well as some experience in competitive market buying
  • Excellent knowledge in food production and manufacturing industry
  • Good English language skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Compensation:

  • This is a full-time, permanent position with at least 30 hours of work per week
  • Annual rate of $43,000, overtime rate applies after 44 hours of work per week
