Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Loan Assistant to join our growing real estate team in Vancouver, B.C. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of loan administration, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to the Administration Manager. The responsibilities will be as follows:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the mortgage and loan renewal processes, including annual reviews and supplementary document preparation, ensuring compliance with lender requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the financial management team, specifically in credit applications, by assisting with documentation and paperwork maintenance.
  • Maintain an organized digital record of all mortgage and loan transactions, including financial statements, for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Compiling financial mortgage data to assist in preparing monthly expense reports and ensuring that mortgage cashflow accounts are accurate and up to date.
  • Assisting in preparing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets to ensure accuracies of financial figures for real estate and mortgage closings.
  • Assist in financial analysis related to mortgage lending and borrowing activities.
  • Comply with all bank policies, regulations, and laws applicable to carrying out duties and responsibilities.
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to brokers and lenders, maintaining strong communication and professional relationships.
  • Provide assistance to the head of the field office in other matters pertaining to loans and mortgages, ensuring effective management of financial resources in accordance with corporate procedures.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role in a high-producing real estate team.
  • Completion of secondary education is required.
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of accounting and cash flow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates in-depth analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, being proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, function independently, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
