Industrial Belt Repairer

Steven Karr established Pride Pak Canada Ltd. (“Pride Pak”) in 1984 to meet Canada’s growing demand for high-quality, healthy, and convenient fresh food products. Today, Pride Pak operates Canada’s largest fresh fruit and vegetable processing facility in Mississauga. In 2006, Pride Pak Nfld. Ltd. opened a second facility to process fresh fruit and vegetables for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Our production areas are refrigerated to approximately 5°C (40°F), and employees must dress appropriately for these conditions. Employment opportunities are available on day, afternoon, and night shifts. Some positions may require weekend work.

Industrial Belt Repairer, 3 Positions

Job Duties

• Inspect conveyor belts for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
• Repair or replace conveyor belts and related components.
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving conveyor belt systems.
• Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, conveyor belt repair, or a related field, preferably within the food production or manufacturing industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work in refrigerated conditions at approximately 5°C (40°F).
• Ability to work day, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts, as required.
• Additional on-the-job training will be provided.

Compensation and Employment Conditions

• Annual salary: $34,230.00
• Minimum of 30 hours per week
• Day, afternoon, and night shifts available.
• Weekend work may be required.
• Overtime will be paid after 44 hours of work per week at the applicable overtime rate.
