JOB OPENING:

We are currently looking for 2 talented Floor and Wall Covering Installers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be hard-working and must be willing to learn new skills everyday!

As Floor and Wall Covering Installers, your job duties include:

• Inspect and measure floors and walls on client sites prior to installation
• Check condition of floors and walls and coverings prior to removal of previous layers
• Conduct moisture PH test
• Mark targeted surfaces and area
• Dispose of existing hardwood floor and wall covers
• Cut and fasten underlay, underpadding and sheeting
• Set-up materials for installation, including parquet and floorboards
• Clean, repair and polish damaged floor coverings
• Install transition and intricate patterns as per customer requests
• Quality assurance of work after installation
• Clean-up post installation

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• At least 1-2 years of experience in interior and exterior restoration with specialization in
• various floor and wall covering installation procedures
• Good understanding of environmental-friendly hardwood floor and wall covering installation materials (low VOC finishes, WOCA penetrating oils, etc.)
• Experience working in tight spaces
• Good English language skills (written and oral)
• Familiarity with workplace safety, safe lifting and handling procedures
• Secondary school diploma is mandatory (post-secondary education is an asset)
• Experience in other trades such as baseboard painting and general restoration will be considered as a great asset

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:

• Permanent, full-time position
• $25.00, 30 – 40 hours work week
• Occasional overtime may be required with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week
• Location of work: Sites within the Edmonton area
