What We’re Looking For
We are seeking two skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanics who take pride in precision work and mechanical problem-solving. The ideal candidates will be hands-on professionals with strong diagnostic abilities, experience with construction and transport equipment, and a proactive attitude toward safety and teamwork.
Main Duties
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair construction and heavy-duty equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, cranes, and heavy trucks
- Detect faults and malfunctions using computerized diagnostic and testing equipment
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective components, systems, or assemblies, such as suspension, hydraulic, pneumatic, and braking systems
- Service and maintain attachments and working tools (ploughs, blades, booms, winches, buckets, etc.)
- Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, and component rebuilds to extend equipment lifespan
- Conduct tests and inspections to verify repairs meet manufacturer and safety standards
- Perform welding, fabrication, and frame or suspension alignment adjustments as needed
- Maintain detailed service reports and work orders
- Comply with all workplace safety policies and regulations
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience as a Heavy-Duty or Automotive Mechanic
- Experience working on suspension systems, undercarriage components, and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or automotive vehicles
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, braking, and steering systems
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues using standard diagnostic tools
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and suspension or frame alignment
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Physically demanding; heavy lifting and manual handling required
- Standing, bending, and crouching for extended periods
- Exposure to dust, grease, noise, and vibration in a busy repair environment

Compensation and Benefits
- $36.00 per hour for 30 hours per week
- Overtime paid after 44 hours per week
