We are seeking a reliable, caring, and responsible Child Care Provider to work in a private home in Brampton. If you are passionate about supporting children’s growth and development in a safe and nurturing environment, we would love to hear from you.

Position Overview

This is a full-time, permanent position in a non-smoking household.

Optional live-in accommodation is available at no charge (this is not a condition of employment). Staff accommodation and room and board are provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents

• Supervise and care for children

• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment

• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development

• Discipline children according to parents’ requested methods

• Organize activities such as games and outings

• Take children to and from school and appointments

• Help children with homework

• Travel with family on trips and assist with supervision and housekeeping

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

• Keep records of daily activities and children’s health information

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• 1 to less than 7 months of related experience

• Strong English communication skills (oral and written)

• Experience caring for children

• Flexible and able to use sound judgement
