Wage: $40 per hour; Overtime rate X1.5 applicable after 44 hours of work per week
Hours of Work: 35-40 hours per week
Vacation: 4% of gross wages

Job Description

FOUR SEASONS DC Repairs Ltd. is seeking an experienced Insulation Supervisor to oversee and coordinate insulation installation activities on commercial and industrial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising insulation crews, planning daily work activities, monitoring installation quality, ensuring compliance with safety standards, coordinating with project managers and other trades, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of insulation workers engaged in installing, repairing and maintaining insulation systems on commercial and industrial projects.
• Plan and organize daily work activities, assign tasks to crew members and monitor work progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Inspect insulation installation work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and applicable building codes.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, contractors and other trades to ensure efficient scheduling and execution of insulation work.
• Ensure workers follow occupational health and safety regulations, workplace safety procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Monitor the availability and use of insulation materials, tools and equipment to support uninterrupted project operations.
• Resolve work-related issues, address installation challenges and recommend measures to improve productivity and work quality.
• Train and provide guidance to insulation workers on installation techniques, safe work practices and company procedures.
• Prepare and maintain work progress reports, daily activity records and other project-related documentation.
• Monitor project timelines, labour requirements and material usage to ensure work is completed within established schedules and project requirements.
• Recommend personnel actions, including hiring and promotions, and assist in evaluating worker performance.

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• 2+ years experience in insulation installation, construction supervision or a related construction trade is required.
• Practical knowledge of insulation materials, installation methods, tools and equipment used in commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specifications and installation instructions.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, workplace safety procedures and applicable construction standards.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve installation issues and ensure work meets established quality and safety standards.
• Valid Drivers license required for commuting to different job sites.

Language Requirements: English at an intermediate level
