Position Summary

We are seeking skilled and motivated CNC Machinists to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce precision components according to engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and technical specifications.
  • Compute dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements for manufactured parts.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC and conventional machine tools.
  • Configure production machinery and tooling for machining operations.
  • Fit and assemble machine components and parts to precise tolerances.
  • Verify dimensions and quality of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Perform routine machine adjustments and troubleshooting to ensure production efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and company manufacturing standards.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications

Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

  • Previous CNC machining or manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Employer is willing to consider candidates with relevant training and transferable skills.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience operating CNC and conventional machine tools.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.

Work Environment

  • General manufacturing environment.
  • On-site position; remote work is not available.
  • Fast-paced production setting requiring attention to quality and efficiency.
