Experience

1 to less than 2 years of experience in retail sales management or a related supervisory role.

Work Setting

Retail service establishment.

Key Responsibilities

The Retail Sales Manager will perform the following duties:

• Plan, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of the retail establishment.

• Manage daily store operations and ensure efficient customer service and sales performance.

• Develop and implement marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase sales and customer traffic.

• Determine merchandise and services to be sold and establish pricing and sales policies.

• Study market research, customer demand, and competitor operations to identify potential sales opportunities.

• Locate, select, and procure products and services for resale and ensure adequate inventory levels.

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise retail staff and assign duties.

• Determine staffing requirements and prepare staff work schedules.

• Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide training and coaching.

• Resolve customer complaints, product issues, and operational problems in a timely manner.

• Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues and expenses.

• Oversee payroll administration and maintain financial and operational records.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and retail standards.

Supervise 11-15 employees
