Polymed Health Centre is a rehabilitation center, located at 1177 Finch Ave W., Suite 22, Toronto, ON. Our licensed professionals will customize a treatment plan specific to your needs to rehabilitate you from motor vehicle accident (MVA) or slip and fall injuries. What we are looking for:

At this time, we are looking to hire an Administrative Assistant who will be responsible in administrative support functions for the centre. This is a very rewarding position, and you would be part of a team of energetic people!

 

As an Administrative Assistant, your duties and responsibilities are:

 

  • Schedule and confirm medical appointments and receive and communicate messages for medical staff and patients
  • Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
  • Interview patients in order to complete forms, documents and case histories
  • Complete insurance and other claim forms
  • Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
  • Prepare draft agendas for meetings and take, transcribe and distribute minutes
  • Prepare financial statements and billing
  • Establish and maintain various internal office administrative support procedures such as document tracking and filing and monthly reporting
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  • May supervise and train other staff in procedures and in use of current software.

We are looking for the following qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Administrative Assistant in the medical or any related industry;
  • Good command of the English language; effective and pleasant communications skills, including excellent telephone manner;
  • Demonstrates ability to work with confidential materials;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

What we offer:

  • $19.50 for at least 30 hours of work per week, overtime rate of $29.25 applies after 44 hours of work per week
  • Overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Location of work: 1177 Finch Ave W., Suite 22, Toronto, ON
