Wages and Hours

  • Wage: $36.00 per hour
  • Hours per week: Minimum 30 hours (Full-time, Permanent)
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Overtime: May be required

Job Duties

The selected candidate will perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Prepare doughs for breads, rolls, pies, sweet goods, cookies, and cakes according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Mix and knead doughs and batters manually or using industrial mixers.
  • Operate baking machinery such as ovens, proofers, sheeters, and mixers.
  • Monitor baking processes and adjust oven temperatures, baking times, and humidity as required.
  • Prepare fillings, icings, glazes, and frostings.
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation of baked goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of baking equipment and work areas in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Receive, measure, and store baking ingredients and supplies.
  • Assist in product development, recipe testing, and improvement.
  • Follow standardized recipes, portion control, and production schedules to ensure efficiency and quality.

 

 

Languages:
English

Education:
College diploma or certification in Baking and Pastry Arts

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a baker in a commercial or artisanal bakery environment.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:

  • Valid Food Safe Certificate
