Job Requirements and Skills:

– 4 years of experience in a similar position or more
– Has the ability to lift 50 to 80 pounds, bend, squat, crouch, kneel and climb stairs consistently throughout the day.
– Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently or as part of a team.
– Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
– Strong attention to detail, effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.

Job Duties:

– Install hardwood flooring, including plank and laminate flooring, while following company quality and safety standards.
– Identify issues with surfaces or materials and recommend practical solutions on-site.
– Measure and cut underlay, padding, and floor covering materials according to project specifications.
– Participate in restoration and renovation projects following water, fire, or other property damage emergencies.
– Install resilient floor coverings and vinyl flooring using adhesives and specialized tools.
– Communicate with clients and team members to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
– Stretch and secure carpeting to ensure a smooth and high-quality finish.
– Inspect completed work to ensure professional finishes and quality standards are achieved.
– Prepare and inspect surfaces prior to floor covering installations.
– Repair and replace damaged or worn floor coverings as required.
– Install carpets and carpeting materials using a variety of installation and bonding techniques.
– Estimate material quantities and assist with labor and supply cost calculations.
