Home Child Care Provider

A private family is seeking a qualified and dependable Home Child Care Provider to care for their 4-year-old child in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating home environment.

Language: English

Education:Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of related experience

Work Setting:

Work in employer’s home (on-site only; no remote work)
Non-smoking environment
Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (live-in is not a condition of employment)

Responsibilities:

Child Care Duties:

• Supervise and care for a 4-year-old child
•  Bathe, dress, and feed the child
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
• Prepare the child for rest periods
•  Support emotional well-being and development
• Instruct in personal hygiene and social development
•  Organize age-appropriate activities such as games and outings

Household Duties:

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to child care
• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment
• Keep records of daily activities and health information
• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
• Discipline the child according to parents’ requested methods

Compensation & Benefits:

* $22.00 hourly wage
* Overtime pay in accordance with Ontario Employment Standards Act
* Minimum 2 weeks paid vacation or 4% vacation pay
* Optional accommodation provided at no cost (if required)
