Overview

A private household in Mississauga is seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Support Worker to provide care for a 99-year-old female client. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, personal care, and companionship in a respectful and safe home environment.

Languages:English

Education:Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate required

Experience:7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience

Work Setting:

Work must be completed on site (no remote work)
Employer’s/client’s home
Non-smoking environment
Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (not a condition of employment)
Staff accommodation provided

Responsibilities:

Personal Care & Support:

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene
• Provide full personal care support
• Assist with mobility and transfers

Daily Living Assistance:

• Feed or assist in feeding
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Assist in regular exercise (e.g., walking)
• Assist client in water (e.g., pool), if required
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Maintain a safe and healthy living environment

Work Conditions & Physical Capabilities:

• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• Ability to handle weight between 45 and 60 kg (100–132 lbs)
