Job Title: Housekeeper

Wage: $19-22/hour

Offered benefits: Free parking available, in-store staff discounts, and free usage of the pools; will help find accommodation

Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent (30-40 hours per week)

Job Duties:

• Clean and maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, public and common areas throughout the resort.
• Change bed linens and make beds to hotel standards, ensuring fresh and comfortable accommodations for all guests.
• Perform tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and cleaning windows to ensure a clean and inviting atmosphere.
• Replenish amenities, empty trash, and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards set by the resort.
• Report any maintenance issues or cleanliness concerns promptly.
• Follow and complete assigned cleaning checklists to ensure quality control.
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
• Monitor, replenish, and report inventory levels of cleaning materials and amenities as necessary.
• Follow safety protocols and comply with hygiene and cleanliness regulations.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.

Employment requirements/work experience:

• No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• WHMIS training or willing to get training prior to starting

Additional Requirements:

• No experience required—training will be provided.
• Will need own transportation to commute to work; no public transport available

Personal Suitability:

• Attention to detail and thoroughness in performing cleaning tasks to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively, demonstrating initiative and reliability in completing assigned tasks.
• Good time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure they are completed within designated timeframes.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move objects as required.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
