A private household in Woodbridge, Ontario is seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Support Worker to provide care for an elderly couple (ages 88 and 85). The successful candidate will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and companionship, ensuring a safe and supportive home environment.

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:  7 months to less than 1 year of related experience

Credentials: Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate

Work Setting

• Work must be completed on site (no remote work)
• Employer’s/client’s home
•  Non-smoking environment
•  Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (not a condition of employment)
• Room and board provided
• Staff accommodation available

Responsibilities:

Personal Care & Support:

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene
• Provide full personal care support

Daily Living Assistance:

•  Assist in regular exercise (e.g., walking)
•  Assist clients in water (e.g., pool), if required
• Feed or assist in feeding
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Household & Companionship:

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Maintain a safe and healthy living environment
