Home Support Worker

We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to assist a male client in his late 50s to early 60s with limited mobility. The client has been diagnosed with hypertension and poorly controlled diabetes, requiring attentive and knowledgeable care.

Location: Toronto, Ontario
Wage: $25.00 per hour
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility assistance, etc.)

• Administer prescribed medications on schedule

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with the client’s specific dietary needs

• Monitor and record blood sugar and blood pressure levels regularly

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Perform light housekeeping tasks related to the client’s care

• Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Home Support Worker or similar role preferred

• Knowledge of managing diabetes and hypertension care

• Ability to prepare nutritious meals following a diabetic-friendly diet

• Certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)

• Ability to work independently and responsibly

• Must be legally able to work in Canada

• Strong communication and organizational skills

Additional Information: The client’s wife operates a full-time restaurant business and requires a dependable caregiver to support her husband’s daily care needs in her absence.
